About The Position

Montessori Reggio Academy is seeking a warm, experienced, and highly organized Bilingual Preschool Director to lead our Montessori preschool campus in Katy. This is a leadership role for someone who is passionate about early childhood education, understands the importance of a calm and well-run school environment, and can support both teachers and families with professionalism and care. The ideal candidate is fluent in Spanish and English, has strong communication skills, and is comfortable guiding staff, supporting classroom quality, maintaining licensing standards, and building positive relationships with parents. As Preschool Director, you will help oversee daily campus operations, teacher support, parent communication, student transitions, classroom coverage, compliance, and overall school culture. We are looking for someone who can lead with kindness, accountability, and confidence while helping our school continue to grow. Requirements

  • Fluent in Spanish and English, with the ability to communicate professionally with families, staff, and leadership.
  • Strong understanding of early childhood education, classroom management, child development, and age-appropriate learning environments.
  • Knowledge of Texas childcare licensing standards, ratios, staff training requirements, and daily compliance expectations.
  • Strong leadership, organization, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Must be dependable, professional, warm, and able to lead a busy preschool campus with confidence and care.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience as a Preschool Director, Assistant Director, Lead Teacher, or early childhood leadership role preferred.
  • Montessori experience or willingness to support and learn Montessori classroom practices and school philosophy.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily preschool campus operations, including classroom flow, staff placement, student supervision, and overall campus safety.
  • Support, coach, and guide teachers to ensure high-quality Montessori classroom practices, positive classroom management, and strong student engagement.
  • Maintain compliance with Texas childcare licensing standards, school policies, staff training requirements, ratios, documentation, and classroom records.
  • Communicate professionally with families in both English and Spanish, including parent concerns, student transitions, enrollment questions, and daily school updates.
  • Monitor classroom numbers, staffing needs, lunch coverage, and daily schedules to ensure proper ratios and smooth operations throughout the day.
  • Partner with leadership on enrollment, tours, parent retention, staff performance, campus culture, and continued school growth.
  • Help create a warm, organized, and welcoming school environment that reflects the values of Montessori Reggio Academy.
