About The Position

Regina Caeli Academy (www.rcahybrid.org) is seeking a part-time Preschool Classroom Assistant for a classical and Catholic classroom. This position is for 13 hours per week during the 2026-2027 academic year, located in Jacksonville, FL. This is an in-person, on-site role. While formal teaching experience or certification is not required, the ideal candidate will have a deep love for the Catholic faith, be able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church, and live the Catholic faith daily. The academy offers training on curriculum, grading, instruction, and classroom management according to RCA standards. Childcare/nursery is provided for staff. Center hours are Mondays and Thursdays only, from 8:45 am to 3:15 pm. A mandatory training day will be held on August 10, 11, 12, or 13, 2026 (TBD), from 8 am to 5 pm, with no childcare provided.

Requirements

• Must be able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church.
• Must be living the Catholic faith day-to-day, including having received all appropriate sacraments.
• Strong communication skills.
• Good organization.
• Timeliness.
• Must be available to attend one mandatory training day on August 10, 11, 12, or 13, 2026 (TBD) from 8 am to 5 pm.
• Must have a clear background check.

• Experience homeschooling or working with homeschool children.
• Ministry experience in a Catholic parish.
• Experience teaching Religious Education or Catechism classes.

• Experience teaching in a classical or private school.
