About The Position

As a Preschool Classroom Aide, you will help create a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom where children can learn, grow, and build the skills they need for kindergarten success. This role is active and hands-on, supporting young children throughout the day. Team members should be comfortable standing, sitting, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and using their hands for a variety of classroom activities. The position may occasionally require driving, working flexible hours, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience caring for or working with young children preferred.
• Passionate about helping young children learn, grow, and succeed.
• Must possess an acceptable form of identification prior to attending your fingerprinting appointment.
• Submit fingerprints for a State of Michigan Background Check to determine eligibility for employment.

Responsibilities

• Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development.
• Help create a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
• Assist with classroom activities, behavior support, and daily operations.
• Partner with families through communication, conferences, and home visits.
• Promote children's health, safety, and overall well-being.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to support school readiness goals.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
