About The Position
As a Preschool Childcare Teacher at Guiding Hands, you will care for children and provide a safe, loving environment that nurtures each child’s social, emotional, cognitive, creative, and physical development. You may also assist in other classrooms during the classroom teacher’s lunch break. Guiding Hands provides a safe and compassionate environment while parents meet their financial responsibilities, teaches God’s love for all, and supports children in learning social and emotional skills to aid self-regulation.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Strong verbal communication skills and an upbeat personality; comfortable and effective when speaking with parents.
- Energetic, nurturing, positive, and child-friendly personality.
- Shows initiative and has a strong work ethic.
- Friendly and able to work as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Create lesson plans that are balanced and appropriate to children’s developmental levels.
- Document learning experiences through displays and pictures.
- Maintain positive informal and formal communication with families on a daily basis.
- Maintain a safe, comforting, and stimulating environment for all children.
- Facilitate and maintain childcare licensing standards.
- Work as part of a team in a rewarding, fast-paced environment.
- Assist in other classrooms during the classroom teacher’s lunch break.
