Requirements

  • Bachelor’s required and Master’s preferred in Early Childhood Education or Early Childhood Special Education
  • 24 ECE units with 3 units of Supervision, or Bachelor’s in Child Development with a Supervisor Permit through CTCC
  • Experience teaching, and managing or directing a preschool (or equivalent experience)
  • Valid California Driver’s License/ID
  • Proof of negative TB test results
  • Verification of occupational physical clearance
  • Pass a criminal fingerprint clearance
  • 18 years of age or job permit clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s preferred in Early Childhood Education or Early Childhood Special Education

Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire a team of educators to create engaging, inclusive learning environments for young children
  • Ensure program excellence through strong operational systems, compliance and quality standards
  • Build meaningful partnerships with families, supporting communication, enrollment and community engagement
  • Mentor, evaluate and develop staff while fostering a collaborative and supportive workplace culture
  • Partner with organizational leaders to guide curriculum implementation, continuous improvement and innovation
  • Balance administrative responsibilities such as budgeting, scheduling, reporting and facility oversight
  • Champion equity, inclusion and reflective practices across the school community
  • Lead the daily operations of the preschool to ensure a safe, high quality, compliant learning environment
  • Support and coach teachers to deliver developmentally appropriate, inclusive programming that supports children's social-emotional growth and school readiness
  • Build strong relationships with families through clear communication, engagement opportunities and ongoing partnership
  • Oversee enrollment, staffing, scheduling and administrative systems to ensure smooth program operations.
  • Monitor program quality, licensing compliance and continuous improvement efforts
  • Collaborate with leadership and cross functional teams to strengthen curriculum, staffing and overall program success
  • Foster a positive workplace culture rooted in teamwork, reflective practice and continuous learning
