About The Position

Lifesteps is hiring a Full-Time Preschool Assistant in the Butler area. Lifesteps is a non-profit human services organization which has been serving Western Pennsylvania for nearly 100 years by “helping individuals and families with life's changing needs”. The Agency provides programs and services to help those with special needs live to their fullest potential. If you have a strong desire to help others and serve the community, this is the right opportunity for you. The assistant provides a high quality of care to enrolled children. Ensures the needs of the children are being met and assists in the implementation and direction of daily routines and activities. This full-time position works Monday through Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm with weekends off!

Requirements

• Possession of a Child Development Associate’s (CDA) certificate
• Completion of at least 2 years of full-time postsecondary study (60 credits) in a related field
• Possession of an associate’s degree or higher
• Demonstrated ability to complete basic computer tasks
• Possess strong communications skills (verbal and written); able to communicate information to a diverse audience

Nice To Haves

• One or more years’ experience teaching in an integrated classroom setting
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education
• Private Academic Teacher Certification in Nursery/Kinder
