About The Position

Join our team at Cabrillo Montessori School in Santa Clara as a Preschool Assistant Teacher for children ages 3-6. Our school provides a nurturing, Montessori environment that fosters curiosity, independence, confidence, and a love of learning. We aim to create a warm and consistent environment where children feel safe, supported, and encouraged to explore. Our Montessori programs promote independence, creativity, problem-solving, and social connections, equipping children with essential skills for the future. The Primary Community (ages 3-6) has a collaborative teaching team of 3: 1 Lead Guide and 2 Assistant Teachers. This team works together to create an engaging classroom where children learn at their own pace through hands-on experiences and meaningful work.

Requirements

Experience or a strong desire to work with preschool-aged children.
Eagerness to learn and grow as an educator.
Ability to thrive in a collaborative, supportive teaching team.
Interest in exploring Montessori education and philosophy.
Enjoyment of hands-on learning experiences with children.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with a teaching team to create an engaging classroom for children aged 3-6.
