Preschool & Toddler Teachers help children discover, grow, and thrive every day. At Kamaʻāina Kids, you'll help children build confidence, develop new skills, and discover the joy of learning through play. Whether you love helping toddlers explore the world around them or preparing preschoolers for kindergarten, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact every single day. This is a full-time position in the Honolulu Area with shifts from 7a-4p, 8a-5p, or 8:30a-5p. The role offers a consistent Monday-Friday daytime schedule with no evenings or weekends.
Requirements
- At least 18 years old
- High school diploma or GED
- CDA, Associate's, or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (or related field)
- 6–12 months of experience in a licensed preschool or childcare program
- 12–24 months of experience working with children under age three in a licensed childcare setting
- Infant/Toddler training (or willingness to complete—we'll help!)
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and reside in Hawaiʻi (or have plans to relocate).
Responsibilities
- Create a warm, welcoming classroom where every child feels safe, valued, and encouraged.
- Plan and lead engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences.
- Support children's cognitive, language, physical, social, and emotional development through play-based learning.
- Encourage creativity through art, music, sensory activities, outdoor play, and storytelling.
- Build strong partnerships with families through positive communication.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers to create an engaging, supportive classroom environment.
- Celebrate each child's unique strengths while helping them reach developmental milestones.
