About The Position

Kama‘āina Kids, recognized as one of Hawai‘i’s Top Workplaces, is hiring Qualified Staff for its preschools in Honolulu. This role involves nurturing curiosity and development in young children through play-based learning. The position offers a supportive team environment, ongoing professional development, paid training including CDA certification, and college tuition assistance. Requirements

• At least 18 years old
• High school diploma/GED
• CDA or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (for Teachers)
• 6–12 months experience in a licensed childcare/preschool setting (for Teachers)
• 12–24 months experience with children under 3 in a licensed setting (for Infant/Toddler Caregivers)
• Infant/Toddler training (can be provided)
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and reside in Hawai‘i (or have plans to relocate).

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment for Infants & toddlers or preschool‑aged children.
• Support social, emotional, language, and early academic development through play‑based, developmentally appropriate learning.
• Build strong, positive relationships with children and their families to support each child’s growth.
• Bring creativity, patience, and enthusiasm to a collaborative, child‑centered school culture.
