About The Position

Kamaʻāina Kids, a recognized Top Workplace in Hawaiʻi, is seeking Substitute Preschool Aides for their Māʻili preschool classrooms, serving children from infants through PreK. Requirements

• Genuine interest in working with young children.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Dependable, adaptable, and ready to step in where needed.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
• Must live in Hawaiʻi or be planning to relocate.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with children (babysitting, parenting, tutoring, coaching, volunteering) is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with classroom activities such as art, music, and outdoor play.
• Help with daily routines including snacks, transitions, and clean-up.
• Support children in feeling welcomed, secure, and included.
• Adapt to different classroom environments and teamwork styles.
• Provide continuity and a sense of calm for children during staff absences.
