Presales Systems Engineer - 2027 Internship
About The Position
A Presales Systems Engineer Intern partners closely with customers and the sales team, delivering customer-driven, world-class, leading-edge, end-to-end solutions that rise to the communications and situational awareness challenges that our customers face. Working within a team of sales, service, engineering, and technical support resources, the Presales Systems Engineer Intern is the overall owner of the solutions' technical design, ensuring we meet our customers’ needs. As an engineering intern, you will work within the engineering team to deliver customer-driven, world-class, leading-edge, end-to-end solutions that rise to the challenges that our customers face. The team concentrates on the following mission-critical communications technologies at various levels of complexity: Public safety grade mobile voice and data networks, Advanced mobile devices, Public safety mobile broadband networks and devices, Software applications for mission critical intelligence, Integrated command and control: Next Generation 9-1-1 Dispatch Consoles, Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), Intelligence-Led Public Safety: Real time video and data analytics.
Requirements
- High School Diploma required
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree with an expected graduation date on or after December 2027.
- Returning to school in the Fall of 2027.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required.
- Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
- General knowledge of IT network and computer architecture
- A positive attitude with a can-do mentality that enables you to be creative, resourceful and deliver results
- Strong written and oral communications skills with the ability to present complex topics to technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
Nice To Haves
- General knowledge of wireless communications fundamentals and voice/data architectures both public and private (e.g. APCO P25, LTE, 802.11, 4G/5G) - is highly desirable
