About The Position

Responsible for process management in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement in the production department, while supervising employees in the daily routine of producing quality preprint products in a safe and efficient manner. Champions EHS initiatives and programs; is committed to a safe work environment and ensures that all IP safety and health reliable methods and federal and state OSHA requirements are in place and followed. Manages employees in the daily production of preprint products, to include training, planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating employee performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; promoting teamwork; resolving conflicts. Maintain daily plant housekeeping standards by assuring the use of established procedures. Maintain high levels of product and service quality in the print, finishing and shipping departments through actively assisting in the development, implementation, use, auditing, and improvement of standard reliable methods and procedures. Stay abreast of people needs and issues in the plant and assure effective resolution of identified issues and needs. Provide for regular and overtime scheduling. Utilize employee involvement and empowerment principles to create teamwork and optimize utilization of resources. Participate in the development of capital and project spending plans and activities. Responsible for inventory control and monitoring of stock levels, as well as securing vendors as needed.

Requirements

  • Five plus years of supervisory experience in preprint manufacturing preferred.
  • Bachelors degree preferred.
