About The Position
The Prepper/Caulker is responsible for preparing truck bodies and parts for the powder coating process, conducting final detailed inspections, and performing rework to ensure that parts and products exit the powder coat process without flaws or defects. This position will also perform precision hand caulking and binding operations such as caulking, gluing, inspecting, and pasting.
Requirements
- Manufacturing industry background experience preferred.
- Prior experience with hand tools preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepares truck bodies and parts for the powder coating process.
- Conducts final detailed inspection and rework.
- Performs precision hand caulking and binding operations.
- Sands, grinds, finishes, caulks, and prepares truck bodies.
- Manually pushes/pulls equipment and parts from inventory based on the job order.
- Moves equipment to other work areas via roller system or overhead crane.
- Performs sanding, scraping, and precision hand caulking/binding.
