About The Position

The Prepared Foods Clerk provides exceptional customer service and prepares food in areas including the deli, juice bar, pizza and sandwich stations, and hot bar. The role helps maintain an attractive sales floor according to Earth Fare merchandising guidelines and verifies that department items have proper signage and pricing. The clerk also maintains cleanliness, sanitation, and organization across department fixtures, storage areas, workstations, freezers, and coolers. This position works in a fast-paced, customer-service-focused environment and may involve exposure to extreme cold. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds; bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and squatting; pushing, pulling, and maneuvering heavy loads; and standing throughout the workday.

Requirements

Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Able to bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and squat.
Able to push, pull, and maneuver heavy loads.
Able to stand and be on one's feet during the workday.

Nice To Haves

Previous food preparation or cooking experience in a restaurant, bakery, or catering environment.
Experience working in retail and/or a customer-service-oriented environment.
