This full-time position contributes to overall positive patient and customer satisfaction by meeting the highest service and quality standards in the Food and Nutrition Services department at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. The role involves maintaining high sanitation ratings, ensuring Sodexo and departmental standards are met, and monitoring the quality of food products. The Preparation Cook is responsible for ensuring productivity, adhering to delivery schedules, and maintaining a safe work environment. This role also includes completing required training, participating in performance improvement initiatives, and working collaboratively with other team members. Minimizing waste, controlling costs, and ensuring proper utilization and maintenance of equipment and supplies are key aspects of this position. The Preparation Cook is also responsible for accurate documentation of HACCP and brand requirements, and may assume the role of Team Leader in their absence, resolving employee and customer issues.
