This role is for a full-time Preparatioon Cook within the Food and Nutrition Department at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, which is part of Advocate Health. The cook will monitor product quality, ensure recipe compliance, meet productivity and delivery schedules, and adhere to all workplace safety and sanitation rules. Responsibilities also include completing required training (in-service, job-specific, Compliance, HIPAA, TJC/OSHA), participating in performance improvement initiatives, working as a team player, minimizing product waste, controlling costs, and properly utilizing and maintaining equipment. The role requires following portion control guidelines, managing food and supplies, and accurately completing all required HACCP and brand documentation. The cook may also assume the role of Team Leader in their absence, maintaining an orderly and sanitary work area and resolving issues with employees, customers, or department concerns.
