Must be able to work onsite 5 days a week in Oakville. We're looking for a hands-on Prep Technician Lead who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality work. In this role, you'll lead the preparation, assembly, packing, and quality review of exhibit structures and event components, ensuring every project is event-ready, on time, and built to the highest standards. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1–2 years of related experience in exhibit production, event staging, warehouse operations, manufacturing, or a similar environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience operating forklifts and aerial lifts (such as scissor lifts).
  • Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and material-handling equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift, move, assemble, and dismantle exhibit structures in a physically active environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct prep technicians and contractors on assigned projects.
  • Review staged projects to ensure quality, accuracy, and completion before shipment.
  • Interpret blueprints and pick lists to verify all exhibit components are accounted for.
  • Assemble, install, dismantle, and prepare exhibit structures and related components.
  • Safely pack exhibit materials on skids and crates according to company standards.
  • Ensure all projects are prepared efficiently while meeting strict production schedules and event deadlines.
  • Troubleshoot project issues and collaborate with the Prep Supervisor to develop effective solutions.
  • Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools to complete assigned tasks.
  • Follow company health and safety policies and federal safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate production and time records for payroll and project tracking.
  • Consistently follow company processes and quality standards.
