About The Position
Jim N Nick's Bar-B-Q is opening a new restaurant in Olive Branch, MS, and is seeking a Prep Cook. The Prep Cook is responsible for coordinating, organizing, and preparing scratch-made food items in accordance with established recipes, standards, and procedures. This role involves ensuring accurate measurements, proper ingredient handling, monitoring shelf lives, and maintaining high food quality.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Pitmaster, Meat Cutter, Line Cook, Expediter, Prep Cook, or Fry/Salad Chef.
- Passion to serve the guest.
- Committed to teamwork.
- Possess a positive attitude.
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
- Respect the adherence to health, safety and sanitation procedures.
- Ability to clean as you go and stay organized.
- Performs duties that require bending, lifting, reaching and turning.
- Transports items and containers (weighing up to 50 lbs.) to and from stock and kitchen locations.
- Able to stand up to 8 hours or longer if needed.
