About The Position

Old Scratch Pizza is seeking an experienced cook for their production kitchen. This role focuses on preparing fresh sauces, salad dressings, pizza dough, and sausages for all four of their restaurants using high-quality ingredients and proprietary recipes. The position involves making everything from scratch with straightforward cooking methods and no preservatives, ensuring the highest standards for quality, freshness, and safety in all in-house prepared items.

Requirements

• Experience in large-scale food production (e.g., banquets, hotels, hospitals, large restaurants).
• Training in food safety, demonstrated by clean & sanitary work practices.
• Valid Ohio driver’s license.
• Self-motivated achiever interested in learning and growing.
• Reliability - ability to show up for the team.
• Bright friendly attitude and willingness to help out a teammate in need.
• Ability to read recipes and detailed instructions.
• Ability to stand for 8 hours.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Produce fresh sauces, salad dressings, pizza dough, and sausages.
• Use fresh, high-quality ingredients and proprietary recipes.
• Cook all food from scratch using straightforward cooking methods and no preservatives.
• Package and deliver all prepared items to restaurants with high standards for quality, freshness, and safety.
• Load refrigerated box truck for deliveries.
• Deliver product to on-site and off-site restaurant locations.
• Gather ingredients and scale recipes for production.
• Utilize large state-of-the-art appliances to blend or cook food.
• Keep detailed inventory and temperature logs for all food preparation.
• Portion, package, and label all prep items.
• Clean and sanitize before and between all projects, including appliances and storage areas.
