The Prep Cook is responsible for the preparation of food orders efficiently and consistently, maintaining organization, cleanliness, and sanitation of work areas and equipment. This role requires maintaining complete knowledge of and compliance with all departmental policies, service procedures, and standards, ensuring that food quality and food safety standards are maintained at a superior level on a daily basis. The Prep Cook will complete opening duties, prepare necessary food items for the meal period and next service, monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of their assigned station and service areas, and cook for the scheduled meal period. They will also remove soiled wares, break down the work station, complete closing duties, and follow all service, operational, and safety standards. The role involves working cohesively with co-workers and all departments as part of a team, adhering to attendance and reliability standards, and performing additional duties as assigned by management.
