About The Position

Huey's, a locally owned and operated establishment with 50 years of history in the Memphis community, is seeking experienced and competent Prep Cooks. We are known for our blues, brews, burgers, exceptional customer service, community involvement, and family-friendly atmosphere. The ideal candidate will possess a polite, friendly, and eager-to-learn attitude.

Requirements

Work as part of a team

The ability to work on your feet for most of the day and lift 30 pounds at a time

Flexible scheduling availability

Nice To Haves

At least one year of cooking experience preferred

Responsibilities

Setting up and stocking his or her station before the start of each service.
Prepping food each day and following Huey’s recipes.
Complying with Health Department regulations and safety standards.
Serving and preparing food of the highest quality, which involves collaborating with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and correctly ordered food preparation, ensuring it arrives at the customer's table ready to eat and at the correct temperature.
Meeting required ticket times for appetizers, entrees, and desserts.
Cleaning his or her station and potentially assisting other cooks with cleaning their stations.
Communicating and cooperating with back-of-house and front-of-house co-workers.
Complying with Huey’s policies and procedures.
