About The Position
For decades, Piero's Italian Cuisine has been one of Las Vegas' premier fine dining destinations, known for exceptional service, authentic Italian cuisine, and an elevated guest experience. We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Pastry Prep Cook to join our culinary team and help produce the desserts and baked goods that complete our guests' dining experience. The Pastry Prep Cook is responsible for preparing, assembling, and maintaining high-quality desserts, pastries, and baked goods according to Piero's recipes and standards. This role requires strong attention to detail, consistency, organization, and a passion for creating exceptional products in a fast-paced fine dining environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Pastry Prep Cook, Baker, Pastry Assistant, or similar culinary role preferred.
- Experience in a fine dining, hotel, bakery, or upscale restaurant environment is a plus.
- Knowledge of baking techniques, pastry preparation, and dessert presentation.
- Ability to accurately follow recipes and production specifications.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and maintain quality in a fast-paced environment.
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented.
- Food Handler Card or ability to obtain one as required.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in hot and cold kitchen environments.
- Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and repetitive hand movements.
Nice To Haves

Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients for pastries, cakes, desserts, cookies, and other baked items.
- Measure, mix, and prepare doughs, batters, fillings, creams, and icings according to established recipes.
- Assist with baking, decorating, plating, and garnishing desserts.
- Maintain production schedules to ensure all pastry items are prepared fresh and available for service.
- Properly store, label, rotate, and organize ingredients and finished products following food safety guidelines.
- Monitor product quality, freshness, and presentation standards.
- Assist with inventory management and communicate ordering needs to the Pastry Chef or management team.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation at all times.
- Follow all health department regulations, food safety procedures, and company policies.
- Collaborate effectively with pastry, culinary, and front-of-house teams.
- Support banquet, special event, and seasonal dessert production as needed.
