About The Position
We’re looking for detail-oriented, dependable Prep Cooks to help set the stage for an exceptional food experience. If you love working with fresh ingredients and take pride in doing things right, this could be the perfect fit. As a Prep Cook, you’ll play a key role in delivering the quality, service, variety, and value our customers expect. Monte's Lunch is a fresh take on quick-service seafood rooted in authentic East Coast flavour and hospitality. From lobster rolls and chowder to unique seafood offerings, Monte's Lunch is focused on delivering high-quality food, genuine hospitality and an experience that feels distinctly Atlantic Canadian in a approachable, energetic environment. Requirements
- Some kitchen experience is great, but we’re happy to train the right person
- Solid knife skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently and follow instructions
- Interest in seafood, sustainability, and local food culture
- A positive attitude and team spirit
Nice To Haves

Responsibilities
- Preparing ingredients for daily service—chopping, portioning, marinating, and more
- Assisting with basic cooking tasks and supporting the line during busy hours
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and food-safe workspace
- Helping with inventory and receiving deliveries
- Working closely with chefs and cooks to keep the kitchen running smoothly
