About The Position

The Cook/Dishwasher will accurately and efficiently fulfill prep lists, tasks, and food preparation for various meal periods to include breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special/catered events. This role involves washing pots, pans, dishes, and utensils, as well as cleaning and maintaining floors and storage areas. Daily responsibilities may shift between Cook and Dishwashing, depending on business needs. The general responsibilities include ensuring kitchen organization and cleanliness for a safe environment, adhering to Workplace Safety, Food Safety, HACCP, and internal audit guidelines. The position requires the ability to work safely with large volume culinary equipment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1-year professional cooking experience or education equivalent.
  • Ability to work safely with large volume culinary equipment including slicer, large mixer, food processors, blenders, and chopper.
  • Come to work properly dressed according to the dress code.
  • Employee must be able to work under pressure and time deadlines during peak periods.
  • Adhere to Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) policies and procedures.
  • Follow safety protocols, maintain environmental responsibility, and uphold quality standards.
  • Actively participate in HSEQ training and report any potential hazards or compliance concerns.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately and efficiently fulfill prep lists, tasks, and food preparation for various meal periods (breakfast, lunch, dinner, special/catered events).
  • Wash pots, pans, dishes, and utensils.
  • Clean and maintain floors.
  • Assist with general cleaning and sanitation as assigned.
  • Maintain storage areas and equipment as assigned.
  • Clock in and out for workday and breaks.
  • Provide the highest quality of service in accordance with Guckenheimer and client standards.
  • Utilize food preparation procedures in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local guidelines and regulations.
  • Execute NetMenu recipe preparation of food items, as directed by production sheets and/or LC, SC, or Executive Chef.
  • Setup pot sink correctly according to HACCP practices and wash pots and pans as required, putting them away as directed.
  • Sweep and mop floors in the kitchen and service areas as required.
  • Remove garbage as directed in a safe manner.
  • Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment according to Guckenheimer, and government regulatory rules and procedures.
  • Notify management of any ingredient discrepancies/availability, food/equipment safety, or other situations requiring management attention.
  • Attend all meetings of the day.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Adhere to Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) policies and procedures.

Benefits

  • Hourly pay range of $22.50 - $23.00 per hour.
