About The Position

Griffin Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to serve as the Prenatal Coordinator. This role is the primary point of contact for pregnant patients, addressing their inquiries, concerns, and providing emotional support. The coordinator will provide information on prenatal care, screening tests, and available resources, ensuring patients understand their care plans and follow necessary steps for optimal health during pregnancy. Responsibilities include scheduling and managing prenatal appointments, ultrasounds, and other necessary tests, as well as sending reminders and follow-ups. The role involves coordinating with various healthcare providers, assisting patients with insurance coverage and financial options, and accurately transcribing all documentation in a timely manner. The Prenatal Coordinator acts as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers, ensuring clear communication of test results and follow-up care, and supports care teams by sharing patient progress updates. They will also work closely with insurance providers to ensure patients have access to appropriate care.

Requirements

  • Associate’s in Nursing or Bachelor’s in Nursing
  • Prior experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in prenatal care or women’s health, is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for pregnant patients, addressing inquiries, concerns, and providing emotional support.
  • Provide information on prenatal care, screening tests, and available resources to patients.
  • Ensure that patients understand their care plan and follow necessary steps for optimal health during pregnancy.
  • Schedule and manage prenatal appointments, ultrasounds, and other necessary tests for patients.
  • Send reminders and follow-ups for upcoming appointments and procedures.
  • Coordinate with various healthcare providers, including obstetricians, sonographers, and specialists, to ensure seamless care.
  • Assist patients with understanding insurance coverage and financial options for prenatal care.
  • Accurately type and transcribe all documentation in a timely manner, proofreading work prior to distribution.
  • Promptly complete assignments independently, meeting deadlines in daily responsibilities and special projects, and following up on patient scheduling.
  • Act as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers, ensuring timely and clear communication of test results, concerns, and follow-up care.
  • Support care teams by sharing updates on patient progress and ensuring continuity of care.
  • Work closely with insurance providers, if necessary, to ensure patients have access to appropriate care.
