About The Position

The Grocery People (TGP) are hiring a Premium Clerk for their Wholesale Market located in Edmonton, AB. This role is for an individual with a customer-focused attitude looking to advance their retail career. The Premium Clerk will assist in maintaining high standards of customer service, handle checkouts, resolve customer complaints, ensure safety regulations are followed, maintain records, and ensure merchandise quality meets company standards. The position also involves assisting in the supervision of junior staff and reporting to the Centre Store Supervisor. The team is collaborative and focused on high customer service standards.

Requirements

• Retail store experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
• Reliable self starter with the ability to think proactively, be a problem solver, and effectively lead a team.
• Can work a flexible schedule including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining high standards of customer relations and service.
• Assist at checkouts as required including operating cash register, packing groceries, car service, etc.
• Settle customer complaints and adjustments as required.
• Ensure the practice of safety regulations by staff members and customers and promote the elimination of hazardous conditions.
• Collaborate with manager in the preparation and maintenance of records as required.
• Ensure that the quality and condition of all merchandise meets company standards.
• Other duties as required.
