About The Position

The Premium Catering Manager oversees all premium hospitality, in-house catering, and athlete-focused dining operations within the Oregon State University Athletic Department. This role leads the execution of premium suites, clubs, VIP hospitality spaces, private events, and the Performance Table restaurant serving OSU student-athletes. The manager ensures exceptional service, operational excellence, and a consistently elevated guest experience across all premium environments. This position works closely with the Senior Premium Manager, culinary leadership, and the broader Premium team to deliver seamless, high-quality events and daily service.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of management experience or 5+ years of hospitality with supervisory responsibilities.
  • Flexible availability including nights, weekends, game days, and schedule pivots based on event needs.
  • Ability to reach, lift, bend, stoop, climb stairs, and stand/walk for extended periods.
  • High computer literacy and comfort with scheduling, reporting, and communication platforms.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams in fast‑paced, high‑volume environments
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences and maintaining premium service standards.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events and priorities simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate event schedules and timelines with the Senior Premium Manager, including setup, breakdown, staffing, and operational flow.
  • Oversee execution of all premium spaces: suites, clubs, VIP hospitality, and the Performance Table athlete dining program.
  • Ensure proper setup and breakdown of all catering functions, maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness.
  • Monitor food quality and presentation, ensuring alignment with OSU Athletics and Levy standards.
  • Maintain compliance with all alcohol service policies, training, and monitoring requirements.
  • Support operational planning to ensure adequate product, equipment, and staffing levels for anticipated business needs.
  • Supervise premium operations during OSU sporting events, high-profile gatherings, and private functions.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and develop staff in alignment with Levy standards and OSU expectations.
  • Provide tools and resources necessary for team members to perform effectively.
  • Manage scheduling based on business forecasts, event calendars, and operational priorities.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, guests, subcontractors, not‑for‑profit groups, and internal partners.
  • Complete monthly reporting including inventory, walkthroughs, and physical maintenance of premium products.
  • Maintain oversight of Suites and the Performance Table, ensuring consistency, quality, and operational readiness.
  • Travel up to 10% to support events at other properties within and outside Oregon.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Senior Premium Manager or Leadership team.
