Premier Play Manager (Global)

Pow Interactive Holdings Corp WA, US, WA
$75,000 - $95,000Hybrid

About The Position

We are a fast-growing publisher dedicated to bringing the world's best IPs to the tabletop, since 2006. From My Hero Academia and Godzilla to Star Trek and Street Fighter, our UniVersus platform has built a reputation for blending deep tactical gameplay with fan-favorite universes across multiple licenses at once. Riftbound (the League of Legends TCG), launched in October 2025, has become the newest driver of that growth. 2027 raises the bar again, with Invincible, Hellboy, Critical Role, Warhammer 40,000, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, and Persona 5 joining the UniVersus lineup. We are looking for builders, people ready to disrupt the TCG market with creativity, agility, and precision. We don't just sell games; we build ecosystems where players and fans thrive.

Requirements

  • Obsessed with competitive integrity. Understand tournament software, tie-breakers, and the strict logistics required to run a 2,000-player Swiss bracket flawlessly.
  • Understand the psychology of a competitive TCG player. Know what makes a prize wall exciting, what makes a venue comfortable for a 10-hour tournament, and what makes a community thrive.
  • Calm under pressure, and never let an escalating event impact your team's moral. Understand how to manage high pressure situations with equity and empathy, and always ensure all parties are taken care of fairly.
  • Can handle sensitive IP information and coordinate complex, multi-layered events with global partners without letting details slip. Know when to delegate within the team and when to take charge.
  • Comfortable running events with a high degree of autonomy, far from HQ, spending the majority of the event season on the road across multiple regions and time zones. Each event starts and ends with your finger on the pulse.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Organized Play management and operations, or managing large-scale competitive TCG tournaments.
  • Deep understanding of the TCG community and competitive gaming structures. You don't just work in gaming; you live it.
  • A personal interest in Pop Culture, Video Games, or Entertainment is a strong plus.
  • Native or fluent English (C1/C2). Additional languages are a plus given the multi-region scope of the role.
  • Willingness to travel between 12 and 15 weeks a year across North America, LATAM, and APAC, including weekends during peak event seasons.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, scale, and execute Premier Play events across every region outside Europe. You manage tournament structures, round timings, prizing logistics, side event programming, and the physical setup of competitive play areas.
  • Work closely with IP partners (like Riot Games), event partners and their established esports/competitive networks to align our tabletop organized play with their broader digital and physical ecosystems, region by region.
  • Own the end-to-end journey of every attendee at the events you run. Beyond strict tournament logistics, you bring bold creativity to build a welcoming, vibrant “festival concept” for competitors and casual fans alike.
  • Partner closely with the Judge Program Manager and the Broadcast & Content Manager, who travel to the same events, to ensure every Regional Qualifier and Regional Championship runs as one seamless operation on-site.
  • Work in lockstep with the Sr. Premier Play Manager to translate the global competitive strategy into flawless on-the-ground delivery at each event, and feed field insights back into that strategy.
  • Monitor the health of the competitive meta and gather direct feedback from pro-level players to inform our global Game Design and Organized Play teams.
  • Work alongside the Sr. Premier Play Manager to identify competitions, activations, and experiences that showcase our brands in ways that best represent their uniqueness.

Benefits

  • Fixed Salary + Performance Bonus.
  • 12-month fixed-term contract, renewable based on performance and business needs.
