About The Position

5K Power is a multi-disciplinary electrical solutions company operating across four business units: Electrical Prefab, Skidding, Temp Power Solutions, and UL Manufacturing. This position sits within the Electrical Prefab business unit, which designs and builds electrical wall panels, prefabricated electrical units, and overhead racks that help construction and industrial projects run safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in electrical prefabrication (wall panels, modular electrical units, and/or overhead rack assembly) or related industrial manufacturing, including 2+ years in a supervisory or management role.
Working knowledge of NEC requirements and applicable panel/rack shop standards (e.g., UL508A).
Proven ability to manage multiple production lines or crews simultaneously in a fast-paced shop environment.
Strong ability to read electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, panel/rack layout drawings, and bills of material.
Solid leadership, scheduling, and organizational skills with a track record of meeting production deadlines.
Proficiency with MS Office and production tracking/ERP software.
Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable coordinating with engineering, estimating, and project management.
High school diploma or equivalent required

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement principles preferred.
electrical trade certification, journeyman license, or technical degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations across the electrical wall, unit, and overhead rack assembly lines, balancing workload and staffing across all three to meet production schedules and project deadlines.
Develop, adjust, and communicate line-by-line production schedules in coordination with project management, estimating, and engineering.
Supervise, train, and evaluate assembly leads and technicians across the wall, unit, and overhead rack lines; build a cross-trained, reliable workforce that can flex between lines as demand shifts.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, panel/rack layout drawings, and bills of material to guide production of walls, units, and overhead racks.
Ensure all wall, unit, and overhead rack assemblies meet applicable codes and standards (e.g., NEC, UL508A where applicable) and coordinate with QA/QC on inspection and testing.
Champion shop-floor safety across all prefab lines: enforce PPE and safety procedures, lead safety meetings, and drive OSHA compliance.
Manage materials and inventory flow with procurement to prevent line stoppages and minimize waste or rework on wall, unit, and overhead rack builds.
Track and report production KPIs by line (throughput, labor hours, on-time completion, scrap/rework rates) to leadership.
Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce production costs across the Electrical Prefab shop.
Manage staffing levels, hiring needs, scheduling, and performance reviews for Electrical Prefab personnel.
Coordinate with engineering and project management on design changes or field issues affecting wall, unit, or overhead rack builds.
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient shop layout across all lines that supports safe and productive workflow.
