About The Position
KBR is seeking a Predictive Research Analyst for mission-level combat modeling to join their team at Wright Paterson AFB, Dayton Ohio. A qualified candidate will be adept at effectively organizing and executing analytic studies within a team of analysts containing skills spanning a range of disciplines. Experience and familiarity with the space domain and mission-level models/tools like System Effectiveness Analysis Simulation (SEAS) or Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration and Modeling (AFSIM) is desired.
Requirements
- Master's degree in operations research or a theoretical science field
- An active Top Secret with SCI security clearance
- 10+ years of directly applicable experience
- Experience conducting modeling & simulation analyses
- Willingness to learn and employ campaign-level and/or defense enterprise-level models
- High motivation, creativity, and flexibility to work in a dynamic environment
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Strong quantitative and analytic abilities to integrate and analyze data
Nice To Haves
- PhD in operations research or a theoretical science field
- Experience with more highly aggregated, campaign-level and/or defense enterprise-level analysis tools
- Experience in DoD space and joint force programs
- Experience with AFSIM, SEAS, STORM or other related models
- Experience with Java, MATLAB, R, SAS, JMP, and/or Python
- Experience with data transformations and data visualization
- Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) and MySQL or other relational databases
- Experience with BI Tools
- Experience with Excel VBA
Responsibilities
- Utilizing studies and analyses, specifically a strong background in mission-level modeling and simulation, the analyst will make recommendations regarding the military utility, feasibility, joint warfighter impacts of the concepts and capabilities under study
- Ability to coordinate with senior managers and decision makers to identify and solve a variety of problems and to clarify management objectives
- The Analyst will work as part of a contractor team working alongside a broader team of government and contract staff
