About The Position

The Predictive Maintenance Tech V plays a critical role in enhancing and sustaining the reliability of plant equipment by applying best maintenance practices on the shop floor. This role performs routine and predictive inspections using advanced diagnostic tools to identify potential failures and supports proactive maintenance planning to optimize equipment performance and uptime.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of general maintenance experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in industrial environments
  • Ability to complete MLT1 certification within a specified period
  • Completion of one predictive maintenance certification (vibration, infrared, or ultrasonic) within a specified period
  • Ability to complete McCain Operator Training Program certification
  • Ability to obtain and maintain: McCain Forklift Certification, McCain Scissor Lift Certification, McCain Boom Lift Certification
  • Valid State of Maine driver’s license
  • Working knowledge of CMMS and ability to learn touch screen systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine equipment inspections using tools such as vibration monitoring, infrared thermography, and ultrasonic analysis
  • Identify equipment defects and communicate recommended repairs or replacements to maintenance and operations teams
  • Support the implementation of best-in-class reliability and maintenance practices across the plant
  • Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document findings and track maintenance activities
  • Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts in accordance with safety and company standards
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting using Microsoft tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and supervision teams to improve equipment performance
  • Participate in training programs and maintain certifications as required
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment reliability and plant performance
  • Perform other duties as assigned
