This position will lead preconstruction efforts from project identification through contract award, partnering with owners, architects, engineers, estimators, and operations teams to develop winning strategies and deliver outstanding project outcomes. Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial mechanical construction
  • Experience in preconstruction, estimating, project management, engineering, or related mechanical construction roles
  • Strong estimating experience on commercial mechanical construction projects
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents
  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary project teams including architects, engineers, owners, and contractors
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and client relationship management abilities

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, institutional, or mission-critical projects is highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead all preconstruction activities for commercial mechanical construction projects
  • Develop conceptual and detailed project budgets and cost estimates
  • Prepare value engineering recommendations to maximize project value and efficiency
  • Perform constructability reviews to identify project risks and opportunities
  • Collaborate with owners, architects, engineers, project managers, and design teams throughout the preconstruction process
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents for completeness and accuracy
  • Participate in design development meetings and provide technical guidance
  • Assist in developing project schedules, procurement strategies, and execution plans
  • Support business development efforts by building strong client relationships and contributing to proposal presentations
  • Coordinate the transition from preconstruction to operations upon project award
