About The Position

The Pre-Construction Manager will lead pre-construction planning activities for the project, supporting estimating, constructability, scheduling, and execution readiness. This role works closely with engineering, project management, and operations teams to help set the project up for successful delivery. Eastern Canada District's projects include highways, bridges, mass transit, mine site development & open pit operations, hydroelectric powerhouses, wind-power plants, dams & industrial. They serve the construction and mining industries and operates in Eastern Canada.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience on major infrastructure projects.
  • Strong background in pre-construction planning, estimating, and scheduling.
  • Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to lead constructability reviews and translate engineering input into practical construction execution strategies.
  • Strong understanding of project schedules, cost drivers, procurement planning, and risk mitigation during early project development.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and collaborative planning in a fast-paced project environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead pre-construction planning from early development through execution handoff.
  • Coordinate constructability reviews with engineering and operations teams.
  • Support estimating, scheduling, procurement planning, and execution strategies.
  • Identify project risks and develop practical mitigation plans.
  • Review engineering deliverables for construction readiness.
  • Prepare pre-construction reports, updates, and executive presentations.
