About The Position

Weyerhaeuser’s Wood Products manufacturing facility in Magnolia, MS is seeking top-tier talent to help maintain and optimize our high-tech equipment and operations. This role requires advanced skills in machinery installation, alignment, troubleshooting, and maintenance, building on foundational competencies and requiring mastery of precision measurement, complex alignment techniques, and advanced mechanical systems. The position offers a pay rate of $46.00 per hour and a $1,000.00 hiring bonus, with the first $500.00 installment paid after 90 days of successful employment and another $500.00 installment at 6 months. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • NCCER Industrial Maintenance Mechanic (IMM) level 3 certification or equivalent training or equivalent experience in precision measuring, complex mechanical component installation, and alignment procedures.
  • Blueprint & schematic reading for complex industrial equipment.
  • Precision measuring tools (micrometers, dial indicators, laser alignment systems).
  • Advanced alignment techniques (prealignment, shim fabrication, dial indicator alignment).
  • Hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems knowledge (pumps, compressors, couplings, bearings, seals).
  • Vibration analysis and troubleshooting of rotating equipment.
  • Experience with precision alignment and preventive maintenance of large-scale machinery.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems and their repair.
  • Industrial machinist experience and/or precision mechanical rebuild experience.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and assembly.
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting of complex mechanical issues.
  • Time management and ability to work independently or in teams.
  • Communication skills for safety and technical coordination.
  • Knowledge of MSHA or other industry-specific regulations if applicable.
  • Prior experience in power plants, heavy manufacturing, or large-scale industrial facilities is required.

Responsibilities

  • Machinery installation, alignment, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

  • Rigging & hoisting for heavy machinery installation and maintenance.
  • Fabrication & repair of machine parts, including welding, grinding, and turning.
  • Following and enforcing safety and quality procedures.
