About The Position

The Precision Grinder will be responsible for determining grinding speeds, feed rates, holding fixtures, and grinding wheels to be used. This role also involves determining product specifications such as dimensions, tolerances, and the number of parts to be ground per blueprints and router instructions. The applicant must be able to set up and use various precision measuring instruments and demonstrate attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions. A general understanding of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance, is also required.

Requirements

O.D., I.D and Infeed grinding experience
Knowledge of gauging equipment for holding close tolerances
Ability to read and understand blueprints
Ability to use hand tools for set-up and assembly
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
Work with grinding coolants, cleaning fluids and anti-rust oil.
Fluent in English (both spoken and written).

Setup and use micrometers, dial bore gages, snap gages, profilometers, sin bars, etc.
Attention to detail and following instructions
Having a general understanding of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance
