About The Position
Entry level position within Orafol Precision Technology tool room. This is a second shift position. The role involves learning to set up and operate equipment to produce specified dimensions and finishes on a wide range of materials. It also includes learning to use measuring instruments, working to close tolerances, and operating machines such as lathes, milling machines, and surface grinders. The position requires a willingness to work overtime when required and with short notice. This is a day shift position. Other duties may be assigned as needed. The role also requires following safety guidelines, using required PPE, and maintaining product quality according to ORAFOLs Quality Program.
Requirements
- High School diploma or Equivalent
- 0-2 years experience in a precision machining
- PC Skills
- Completes work assignments in a timely manner.
- Requires close attention to detail and methodical approach to work processes.
- Must has a positive can do attitude and a sense of accountability; takes initiative.
- Must be a fast learner, driven and self-motivated; strive towards continuous improvement.
- Must be a Team Player
Nice To Haves
- Some knowledge of optics preferred.
Responsibilities

- Learn to use all measuring instruments and works to close tolerances.
- Learn to use such machines as lathes, milling machines, surface grinders, etc.
- Willingness to work overtime when required and with short notice.
- Perform other duties as assigned or as the situation dictates.
- Follow prescribed safety guidelines in accordance to ORAFOL Americas Safety program; use required PPE
- Maintains an optimal level of product quality and adheres to ORAFOLs Quality Program
