Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for a Precision Electromechanical Assembler 2 (2nd Shift) located in Salt Lake City, UT.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years of experience.
  • Experience in mechanical assembly of small, fine-pitched parts.
  • Must be available for 2nd shift.
  • Must be able to work using a microscope.
  • Must be able to work with mechanical small parts.
  • Must be able to handle shock sensitive devices.
  • Must be able to follow standard operation procedures or assembly instructions.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Soldering certification or experience.
  • Previous experience working closely with Test and Manufacturing techs/engineers.
  • Experience using a microscope.
  • Experience with Shock Sensitive Devices.
  • Experience with mechanical small parts.

Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of operations to assemble precision electromechanical products.
  • Performs tasks such as drilling, reaming, burnishing, and tapping; uses precision measuring instruments to ensure conformance to specified tolerance.
  • Assembles, disassembles, repairs and reassembles precision assemblies and corrects malfunctions.
  • May assemble and modify prototype precision units for engineering personnel.
  • May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
