About The Position

As your shift kicks off, you review travelers and drawings, plan setups on mills and lathes, and select the right tooling to hit tolerance. Through the evening, you run CNC equipment and a saw to produce precision metal parts, checking features with micrometers and calipers, adjusting offsets as needed, and documenting inspections. You keep your cell tidy under 5S, perform routine upkeep on your machines, and collaborate with teammates to meet production goals—staying safe and following procedures every step of the way.

Requirements

At least 2 years of CNC milling and/or turning experience in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to read prints and use calipers and micrometers with confidence.
Strong shop math, machining fundamentals, and detail orientation.
Skilled in deburring and finishing to meet quality standards.
Problem-solving mindset focused on quality and uptime.
Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
Organization and time management in a fast-paced setting.
Consistency and accuracy under deadlines.

Nice To Haves

Technical school coursework or certification in machining.
Basic CNC programming familiarity.
Experience with lean/continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Operate CNC mills, lathes, and saws to produce components to exact specifications.
Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job orders to plan machining sequences.
Set up and adjust equipment with minimal supervision to maximize throughput and quality.
Verify dimensions using precision instruments (calipers, micrometers) and record results.
Complete travelers, inspection records, and production documentation accurately.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues.
Follow safety rules and contribute to a clean, organized, 5S/lean work area.
