About The Position

Based out of Rocket Lab Headquarters in Long Beach, California the Precision Cleaning Technician I will work with various fluid systems and sub-assembly components for the Rutherford and Archimedes Rocket engines. The Precision Cleaning Technician I will take responsibility for cleaning machined flight hardware components and assemblies. They will work with major components of the Rutherford rocket engine, which are primarily 3D printed, including thrust chambers, injectors, main valves, and pump parts. This role requires maintaining a high level of attention to detail to ensure precision and quality in all tasks.

Requirements

• Experienced in precision cleaning, ultrasonic cleaners, degreasers, oxygen cleaning and clean room methodology/practices.
• Hands-on experience with bagging parts and generating accurate labels.
• Familiarity with cleanroom environments and protocols.
• Experience working with cleaning chemicals and adhering to proper handling procedures.
• Experience documenting daily activities.

Nice To Haves

• 1+ years of experience in precision cleaning in aerospace industry.
• Knowledge of ultrasonic cleaning tanks.
• Understanding of non-volatile residue (NVR) processes.
• Experience with particle testing for parts.
