About The Position

What We’re Looking For Experience & Education High School diploma or equivalent required 2+ years of hands‑on experience as a Level I Technician working with Okuma spindles and/or mechanical sub‑systems, including cleaning, disassembly, inspection, and testing — or equivalent practical experience Core Skills & Capabilities General Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team‑driven environment Comfortable and effective in a fast‑paced, production‑focused setting Strong attention to detail with a natural aptitude for troubleshooting and problem solving Technical Experience using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring devices Familiarity with forklift operation and crane inspection/operation (training provided as needed) Ability to read, understand, and work from assembly drawings and part prints Comfortable with basic computer use, including email, timekeeping systems, and internal business tools Communication Clear and professional verbal communication skills Strong listening skills and the ability to document work accurately and thoroughly Math & Reasoning Ability to analyze problems, collect and interpret data, and reach sound conclusions Ability to follow written, oral, and diagram‑based instructions Adaptable, proactive, and willing to take initiative in a changing work environment Physical & Work Environment Expectations Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and reach for the majority of the work shift Able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 70 pounds Frequent bending, stooping, crouching, and reaching Continuous use of hands for detailed assembly work and tool operation Visual acuity sufficient for close‑range mechanical and inspection work (corrected or uncorrected) Work Environment Primarily based in a warehouse/showroom environment Exposure to varying temperatures, industrial equipment, forklift traffic, and moderate to high noise levels Regular use of PPE when working around cleaners, solvents, and aerosol paints Occasional work in an office setting with standard equipment Safety & Compliance Commitment to maintaining required OSHA and job‑related safety certifications

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years’ experience as a Level 1 Technician on Okuma spindles and/or mechanical sub-systems (cleaning, disassembly, and testing) or equivalent.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Ability to work in a fast paced production environment
  • Attention to detail and strong problem solving skills
  • Forklift Training, power tools, hand tools, measuring devices, Crane Inspection/Operation
  • Basic PC usage such as for email, timesheets, and business systems
  • Able to review assembly drawings and part prints
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, as well as exceptional listening skills
  • Good note taking skills
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to adapt to change and take initiative
  • Ability to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms for at least 7/8 of the normal work shift
  • Ability to lift and carry, push, or pull up to 70 pounds
  • Ability to stoop, crouch and reach
  • Ability to talk or hear continuously
  • Ability to see clearly to do all work-related tasks (clear or corrected vision at 20 inches or less)
  • Finger dexterity is required frequently for over 7/8 of the normal work shift including operating a phone, computer/ electronic equipment, and tools
  • Maintain annual OSHA safety certifications as required by job duties
