About The Position

A Precinct Committee Officer (PCO) is an elected or appointed representative of a political party at the precinct level. The PCO serves as the primary liaison between the party and voters in their precinct, helping to mobilize support, increase voter turnout, and strengthen party organization.

Requirements

• Registered voter within the designated precinct.
• Affiliation with and commitment to the values of the political party.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Passion for civic engagement and grassroots organizing.
• Ability to engage with diverse groups within the community.

Responsibilities

• Identify, contact, and engage with voters within the precinct to encourage participation in elections.
• Assist in voter registration, promote party candidates, and distribute campaign materials.
• Act as a representative of the political party at local meetings, events, and conventions.
• Organize grassroots efforts to increase voter turnout through door-to-door canvassing, phone banking, and other outreach methods.
• Attend and participate in precinct, county, and state party meetings and caucuses.
• Help identify and support candidates who align with the party’s values and priorities.
• Report voter concerns and precinct-level political trends to party leadership.
• Help ensure voters understand how and where to vote, including deadlines for registration and election procedures.
