MUSC Community Physicians (MCP) is seeking a Precertification/Authorization Specialist to join their Beaufort/Bluffton Team. MCP is part of the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) and provides healthcare within the rural health network of South Carolina. This role offers a predictable daytime schedule, weekends free, and a better work-life balance. Responsibilities

Coordinates the activities related to patient procedure scheduling within the peri-operative environment.
Interacts with other members of the health care team to achieve desired outcomes.
Performs pre-certification functions to ensure that all services requiring carrier authorizations are approved.
