Preceptor, Registered Nurse (RN)

Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of employment
- Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience, at least one (1) year must be in the provision of home health care or hospice.
- Technical/computer skills as well as use of electronic medical documentation.
- Valid driver's license and auto insurance in your name as a driver.
- Capable of all physical demands.
Nice To Haves
- Previous clinical training experience preferred.
- HCHB experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide a welcoming onboarding experience and orientation new staff.
- Complete clinical training for all new hospice staff and ensure delivery of quality training.
- Complete orientation and all ongoing competency and annual training for all hospice employees and staff that follow and fulfill CMS guidelines.
- Provide training and direction to hospice aides during the supervised practical portion of the trainings.
- Work in the field with patients and staff as needed.
- Ensure quality and safe delivery of hospice services.
- Collaborate with Director of Nursing and/or Executive Director regarding new initiatives.
- Work with local and regional leadership to improve patient outcomes.
- Develop tools and learning aides for field staff and clinical training for annual competencies.
- Work with Hospice Operations Specialist to develop clinical care documents, disease management processes and clinical policies.
- Reviews clinical documentation in accordance with agency protocol and Medicare/Federal guidelines.
