About The Position

As our Precast Erection Field Operations Lead, you guide subcontractors and internal crews to turn engineered plans into finished structures—safely, on schedule, and within budget. Each morning, you align on site logistics and sequence with customers and the general contractor, sync delivery windows with the Trucking Manager, and lead a pre‑erection huddle to set expectations. Throughout the day, you verify Bills of Materials, review work against welding, grouting, and bracing plans, and check product tolerances against project specs and PCI standards. You keep a sharp eye on safety and quality, escalate any defects that require FRWOs to Engineering, and track punch items electronically to drive a clean, on-time turnover. Core impact Oversee all field erection and finishing activities on assigned projects. Assist the Trucking Manager with trucking scope and coordinate deliveries with Project Management. Guide Engineering, Project Management, and subcontractors on erection planning and sequence. Manage external communications with customers regarding schedules, site logistics, and construction sequencing. Lead pre‑erection meetings to align scope, safety, and quality expectations. Verify Jobsite and Erection Bills of Materials and order any additional materials for erection or repairs. Review subcontractor progress for compliance with Erection Welding, Grouting, and Bracing Plans. Evaluate product quality for conformance with project specifications and PCI tolerances. Notify Engineering of defects that require FRWOs and provide layout for repairs as needed. Audit sites and subcontractors for adherence to Erection and Field Safety Manuals and the Project Site Safety Manual. Track punch lists and repairs using electronic records and report status to customers and Engineering. Direct subcontractors to complete required work; coordinate with the General Contractor and other trades. Attend jobsite, construction, and subcontractor meetings as required.

Requirements

  • Commitment to Safety & Quality: All team members follow established safety and quality processes to protect people and deliver high‑quality work.
  • Credentials: OSHA 10‑hour
  • Background: Associate degree (A.A.S.) or equivalent from a two‑year college/technical school; or 6–12 months of related experience/training; or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
  • Technical fluency: Understand manufacturing methods and techniques; read and interpret complex drawings.
  • Travel Day travel to jobsites up to 5 days per week.
