About The Position
We are looking for an experienced individual to work in our precast division primarily involved in pouring, placing, and finishing concrete. While all of the below responsibilities can be done by this role, the primary responsibility will be that of finishing concrete surfaces.
Requirements
- 2-5 years experience finishing concrete in a precast environment.
- Reliable transportation to and from site.
Nice To Haves
- CSTS Certification is preferred.
- WHIMIS training is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Pour and place concrete mixtures into molds and forms.
- Spread, level, and smooth concrete using rakes, shovels, hand or power trowels, hand or power screeds, or floats.
- Mold expansion joints and edges using edging tools, jointers, and straight edge
- Create rough concrete surfaces using broom.
- Vibrate concrete mixtures and ensure an even distribution and compact pours.
- Strip and clean concrete forms, maintaining a clean and safe work area.
- General housekeeping and yard work.
- Participation in all safety initiatives, policies, and practices, including safe work practices, FLHAs, safety meetings, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
