Requirements

Passion for assisting others to meet vocational goals
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Experience with I/DD population
Valid Driver’s License
High School Diploma
Minimum of 6 months experience with persons with a developmental disability

Nice To Haves

Bilingual (English/Spanish) or ASL is a plus

Responsibilities

Transporting and providing services to persons with a developmental disability to and from pre-vocational activities in the community.
Provide pre-vocational services to persons with a developmental disability
Assist clients to achieve valued outcomes
Daily documentation of services provided according to OPWDD regulations.
Provide monthly summary of client progress according to OPWDD regulations
Record attendance and time in/time out of program
Ensure health, safety and program compliance
Provide advocacy, mentorship and vocational support
Transport clients from/to home and community activities
Work as part of team of prevocational specialists
