About The Position

Reporting to the RTO Manager, you will play a key leadership role in coordinating trainers, managing training delivery schedules, supporting team development, and ensuring a positive experience for apprentices and stakeholders. As the Pre-Trade Supervisor, you will lead a team of approximately 10 trainers and be responsible for ensuring training programs are delivered safely, effectively, and to a high standard. You'll work closely with trainers, students, and internal stakeholders to support operational excellence and continuous improvement within the training function.

Requirements

Trade Certificate or equivalent within the Automotive industry (AUR qualification or equivalent)
Previous supervisory or leadership experience within a trade environment
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Solutions-focused mindset with the ability to manage competing priorities
Ability to build professional relationships and maintain clear boundaries

Nice To Haves

Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) or working towards completion
Experience within training, education, apprenticeships or workforce development environments

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor and support a team of Pre-Trade Trainers
Coordinate trainer schedules and resource allocation
Monitor training delivery and minimise disruptions through effective planning and risk management
Support trainer development and professional development requirements
Act as the primary point of contact for training operations and scheduling matters
Foster a positive, accountable and high-performing team culture
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the training department
Ensure training programs are delivered in line with industry and organisational requirements
