About The Position

Do you want to have fun at work while also providing a safe and nurturing learning environment for preschoolers? If so, the Pre-School Instructor position may be the right job for you! The Pre-School Instructor is a part-time position (anticipated maximum of 25 hours per week) with no benefits and a preferred hiring range of $17.92 per hour. The ideal candidate for this position will be a leader who enjoys working with children and has a desire to organize and instruct a variety of pre-school activities and programs.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
18 years of age or older
Possession of or the ability to obtain CPR/first aid and medication administration certification within 30 days from hire date
Candidates must meet minimum standards as set forth by the Virginia Department of Education

Responsibilities

Plan and implement pre-school classes, activities, programs, and services
Instruct children in physical, social development, and readiness skills
Prepare facilities and materials for program
Receive, process, and file applications
Prepare and maintain files and records, including applications
Enroll program participants
Enforce program and activity rules and regulations
Assist with the cleaning and maintaining of facility and equipment
Receive visitors, answer questions, and provide information about programs and activities
