Pre-Sales Specialist

SherpaMontreal, QC
CA$50,000 - CA$120,000Hybrid

About The Position

Sherpa builds the digital platforms behind some of the largest and most complex congresses, trade shows, and professional events in the world. Since 2009, our mobile apps, event platforms, exhibitor portal and marketplaces have supported organizers across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Australia. To drive our growth, we're expanding our sales team by adding a bilingual Pre-Sales Specialist. You'll be working closely with our founder, who will lead all customer relationships and close deals. Together, you'll handle discovery calls, technical demonstrations, RFP responses, sales campaigns, and follow-ups. You'll also collaborate closely with our product and marketing teams.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in pre-sales, solutions consulting, implementation, or technical account management in B2B SaaS (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience with RFP processes and formal procurement cycles is essential.
  • Proven ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical buyers: integrations, APIs, single sign-on, data hosting and privacy, etc.
  • Excellent written and spoken English is required, as most of our clients are based internationally.
  • Professional level in French.
  • Strong writing skills, with hands-on experience producing proposals or RFP responses.
  • Experience with CRM and go-to-market tools.
  • Curious mindset and structured approach.
  • Must be currently based in Greater Montreal and available to meet at the office 1-2 times per week.
  • Can work in a hybrid work environment.
  • Be able to adapt to the schedules of clients located in different time zones.
  • Valid passport for occasional travel to the US and Europe for industry events.

Responsibilities

  • Build and deliver demos tailored to the audience in the room: an executive director, a show director, a marketing vice-president, an IT lead, or a procurement committee.
  • Own the technical part of proposals and RFP responses: integrations with registration systems and association management platforms, single sign-on, hosting, data privacy, security questionnaires, etc.
  • Scope requirements with product and delivery so that what we promise is what we can deliver, on the timeline we quote.
  • Turn every RFP you answer into reusable content: a growing response library, proposal templates, and integration documentation.
  • Build the case studies and ROI materials that make the next deal easier than the last one.
  • Run and analyze our sales activities and campaigns.
  • Collaborate with marketing to define what collateral is needed and validate that finished materials meet sales requirements.

Benefits

  • Flexible work
  • Competitive compensation package
