Pre Flight/Pre Press Specialist
About The Position
This role is focused on helping the sales and production teams prepare files for production. The role will use Adobe Suite products to proof files for quality, converting file formats, and manipulating layouts for the best fit and finish. Getting files to be print ready. This not a designer role and it does not necessarily lead to a design career but any previous design experience can be helpful in this role. Design experience in this role is more about file prep, file adjustments, making art changes to a file that has been provided to us by a customer, preparing a file that provides the production team with a print ready file. There is no creative design tasks as part of this role.
Requirements
- High level of computer skills: Microsoft platform, Google platform, email, and chat
- Must be able to communicate electronically in a professional manner
- Good in person communication skills
- Ability to problem solve and be solutions oriented
- Highly detailed
- Strong understanding of the Adobe Suite (Acrobat, Illustrator)
- Ability to understand production workflow and systems
- Strong work ethic
- Have excellent attendance
- Be able to learn processes and production systems quickly
- Be able to follow standard operating procedures
- Be reliable and able to work scheduled shifts
- Be able to lift up to 35lbs with or without assistance, if needed

- Candidates with print industry experience is not required but highly preferred

- Setup files quickly and accurately to insure productive workflow.
- Communicate with sales team to ensure you’re meeting the needs for the order.
- Work with production team to ensure files are created for them to succeed.
